MicroPro GmbH was founded in 1997 as the direct successor to the microbiological laboratories of Erdoel-Erdgas Gommern GmbH. Microbiological research began in these laboratories more than 35 years ago. Over this period we have built up extensive practical experience in the areas of geomicrobiology, biotechnology and methodologies for their application. Two specific focal points in our research and its practical application have included and continue to include:
	Microbial Improved Oil Recovery (MIOR) Microbial Prospection for Oil and Gas (MPOG)
To ensure the effecient and effective handling of all types of microbiological and analytical investigations we have available an extensive range of state of the art laboratory equipment including microscope image processing and analysis system, scanning electron microscope, anaerobic workstation, high pressure flow apparatus and gas chromatography.
